The company Takumitak with Chinese roots, now based in Ontario, California, has specialized for many years in the production of knives with robust Full-Tang blades of all possible shapes and sizes. Their goal is to offer the widest possible range of knives to meet the requirements of every demanding customer.
This knife boasts a robust 6.21 mm thick blade made of high-carbon D2 tool steel, additionally coated with a layer of titanium nitride, which protects it against dirt, corrosion, and scratches. The package also includes a reliable Kydex sheath with a belt clip, which is also compatible with the MOLLE system.
Full-tang construction
The term Full-tang means that the blade and the inner part of the handle are made from a single piece, which significantly increases the overall durability of the knife and prevents it from breaking.
Blade made of high-carbon D2 steel
This tool steel called D2 is designed for the toughest use. Thanks to its high carbon content and other additives, it reaches a hardness of HRC 61–62, which is one of the highest achievable values. Such a knife retains its sharpness for a very long time. In addition, it has a significant percentage of chromium, so it can also withstand some rust.
Composition: 84.2% iron, 1.5% carbon, 12% chromium, 0.35% manganese, 0.8% molybdenum, 0.9% vanadium and 0.25% silicon
