The company Takumitak, with Chinese roots and now based in Ontario, California, has specialized for many years in the production of knives with robust Full-Tang blades of all possible shapes and sizes. Their goal is to offer the widest possible range of knives to meet the requirements of every demanding customer.
Takumitak focuses on uncompromising durability – that’s why they offer two carefully selected types of steel:
Blade made of high carbon steel D2
This tool steel called D2 is designed for the toughest use. Thanks to its high carbon content and other additives, it reaches a hardness of HRC 61-62, which is one of the highest achievable values. Such a knife retains its sharpness for a really long time. In addition, it has a significant percentage of chrome, so it can withstand some rust.
Composition: 84.2% iron, 1.5% carbon, 12% chrome, 0.35% manganese, 0.8% molybdenum, 0.9% vanadium and 0.25% silicon
Blade made of stainless steel 3cr13
The stainless steel called 3cr13 is an ideal choice for knives for everyday use. Thanks to its lower hardness of HRC 54-56, it is easy to sharpen, and with its high chrome content you don’t have to worry about corrosion. In short, it offers a balance between durability, easy maintenance, and purchase price.
Composition: 84.03% iron, 0.3% carbon, 13% chrome, 1% manganese, 0.6% nickel, 0.04% phosphorus, 0.03% sulfur and 1% silicon

- TKF 100 - blade made of stainless steel 3cr13 with a Damascus steel imitation and a paracord handle
- TKF 200 - blade made of tool steel D2 and a handle made of G10 material
- TKF 300 - blade made of blackened stainless steel 3cr13 and a handle made of reinforced nylon
- TKF 500 - blade made of stainless steel 3cr13 with a Damascus steel imitation and a handle made of glow-in-the-dark resin
