Full-tang construction
The Full-tang designation means that the blade and the inner part of the handle are made from a single piece, which significantly increases the overall durability of the knife and prevents it from breaking.
Blade made of high-carbon D2 steel
This tool steel called D2 is designed for the toughest use. Thanks to its high carbon content and other additives, it reaches a hardness of HRC 61–62, which is one of the highest achievable values. Such a knife retains its sharpness for a really long time. In addition, it contains a significant percentage of chromium, so it can withstand some rust as well.
Composition: 84.2% iron, 1.5% carbon, 12% chromium, 0.35% manganese, 0.8% molybdenum, 0.9% vanadium and 0.25% silicon
Scales made of G10 composite
G10, also called garolite, is a laminate made by pressing glass fibers soaked in epoxy resin, which is resistant to mechanical damage and does not deform under the influence of moisture or temperature changes. At the same time, it offers very high grip, so it does not slip even in a sweaty hand.
