Subtle design, semi-automatic firing mode, outstanding performance. These are only some of the many strengths of the brand new PCP airgun from the highly acclaimed company Taipan Airguns.
As it is obvious at first sight, this bullpup is not just another follow-up to the Veteran lineage. It is a completely new air rifle that does not borrow a single component from the previous models. That is why the creators gave it a short and fitting name, Taipan SLASH.
The crucial element of the new Taipan is its semi-automatic firing mode. After long years of research, the designers have managed to develop - and patent - a revolutionary valve that is characterised by extraordinary opening and closing speed. As a result, the airgun achieves excellent muzzle energy at minimum air consumption - approximately 7-9 cm3/J. The unprecedented performance in semi-automatic mode also allows the use of Slug ammunition.

The SLASH stands out for its unique layout of the air cartridge inside the buttstock frame. The carbon fiber bottle has a capacity of 300cc, which may appear low to some, but thanks to its minimal air consumption and maximum pressure of up to 300 bar it is sufficient for a truly high number of shots per fill. The current pressure in the cartridge is displayed on a well laid out pressure gauge.
Taipan airguns are known for their unrivalled accuracy - and this one is no exception. This rifle owes this especially to the barrel made by the acclaimed Czech company CZUB, which has been involved in the firearms industry since 1936.
The Taipan SLASH also features the ability to change the calibre. However, this process involves the replacement of a number of internal components and therefore requires considerable experience with PCP systems. Please always follow the instructions or the demonstration video.
Even the overall design of the airgun itself contributes to better accuracy. With a rigid metal frame and minimal misalignment of individual components, it has been possible to eliminate any vibrations and flexing during firing.
The final element providing high accuracy is the new magazine - it is not pre-tensioned by any spring and therefore it does not deform the pellets or slugs during reloading. A great advantage compared to other semi- automatic airguns is the possibility of easy removal of the magazine by simply disengaging the lever above the grip. Furthermore, it can hold projectiles up to 13mm long.

Other distinctive features of the new Taipan include its low-profile design with a total height of just 17cm without an attached riflescope. The barrel is shrouded along its entire length and features a highly effective integrated sound moderator. To install an additional moderator, you will have to purchase a suitable adapter.
The forearm provides several rows of M-LOK slots for mounting any accessory, and the riflescope can be mounted on a Picatinny rail canted by 20 MOA, aiding in adjusting the optics for long-range shooting. To go with the current trend, it features a standardized AR-15 type grip so you can easily replace it with any other.
To ensure comfortable shooting even in low temperatures, the SLASH is fitted with an ergonomically shaped polymer cheekpiece with a rubberized coating. The buttpad is also adjustable in height.
The airgun contains two types of safety mechanisms - a classic manual safety switch located in front of the trigger, and a second, automatic safety which prevents the gun from firing once the magazine is removed.

Note 1: The package includes 2 magazines. One is designed for standard pellets (magazine with a pinhole on the rear surface) while the second is designed for slug ammunition (without the pinhole). They differ in the projectile chamber diameter. Always use the appropriate magazine. Note that to ensure correct operation, each pellet or slug needs to be carefully pushed past the plastic ball inside the magazine.
Note 2: Every single semi-automatic PCP airgun available on the current market is constantly in a fully cocked (loaded) state, which can be dangerous when handling the weapon and can also wear out the internal components more quickly. The lever on the right side is used to both initially load (cock) the airgun and it can also deactivate it (decock). Simply pull the lever back and hold firmly, pull the trigger and slowly move the lever to its initial position. This way you can safely unload the weapon.
Note 3: We strongly advise against tampering with the settings of the air rifle in any way, particularly the trigger mechanism and pressure regulator settings. Both systems are factory adjusted to ensure correct operation of the semi-automatic mode. Improper adjustment of the trigger and regulator may result in the airgun being jammed.
Note 4: The air rifle is factory set to a muzzle energy value at which it offers the best accuracy and optimal air consumption with the used test ammunition (listed in the parameters table). The values in the table below can be achieved solely by readjusting the pressure regulator. To increase/decrease the possible power range, you can purchase a Power Kit. It consists of 4 parts that need to be replaced inside the air rifle. The maximum recommended pressure of the stock regulator is 170 bar. To achieve an even higher pressure, of up to 210 bar, you can purchase an HP regulator.
