Heavy Slug with hollow point
H&N Heavy Slug are extra heavy lead slugs designed for high-power air rifles for hunting and precision shooting at long distances. Compared to standard pellets, they have a shape close to a bullet, and compared to standard slugs from the Slug HP series, they mainly focus on even higher weight, which results in a significantly higher energy transfer on target even at very long distances.
The most important design element is the hollow point with a large frontal area combined with soft lead. This design supports expansion upon impact and helps to transfer energy efficiently to the target. The Heavy Slug series is therefore a perfect choice if you want to get the maximum performance from your powerful air rifles.
These slugs are suitable only for air rifles with barrels designed for this type of ammunition, typically with a non-choked barrel. A choked barrel, which is beneficial for classic pellets, narrows at the muzzle and may not be suitable for solid slugs.
