Sig Sauer MCX has become famous worldwide as a reliable firearm and later as an air rifle for lead pellets powered by compressed carbon dioxide. Now the second generation is here with a number of changes and improvements.
This semi-automatic air rifle with a rifled barrel fires lead pellets inserted in a belt magazine with a capacity of 30 shots. The internal mechanism is powered by a single 88g CO2 cartridge, which is screwed into the rear of the gun after removing the stock. Alternatively, you can use an adapter for two 12g cartridges, or an HPA conversion kit.
The second generation is equipped with a new handguard with a total of 15 M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom. The stock has also been changed, as well as the AR-15 grip with a reduced angle, and the trigger is now fitted with a flat blade. The other components remain unchanged. For aiming, there are laterally adjustable flip-up sights, or you can install a red dot sight or riflescope on the sufficiently long Picatinny rail. The AR-15 type safety is ambidextrous, with the magazine release button on the right side.
As for materials, only the handguard, stock, grip, and magazine are made from high-quality polymer. Everything else, such as the receiver, charging handle, suppressor, and all other components, is metal.
Warning: insert only round nose pellets into the magazine. Any other shape may cause a jam.
Since the gun is powered by CO2 cartridges, the rubber seals may become brittle and crack over time due to the freezing carbon dioxide. You can prevent this with occasional application of silicone oil 1) spray, where you simply spray the internal mechanism, or 2) by applying a few drops of silicone oil to the neck of the inserted cartridge. We also do not recommend leaving an activated cartridge in the gun longer than necessary. If you know you will not be shooting for some time, release the pressure. The cartridges cannot be refilled.
