The American manufacturer Barra impressed us during the Shot Show and IWA expos, and it was the model 1866, inspired by the iconic cowboy rifles of the Wild West, that caught our eye the most.

The Model 1866 replicates classic western repeating rifles with a faithfully crafted lever-action reloading system. For actual shooting, lead pellets are inserted into replica shells, which are loaded into a 10-shot tubular magazine. The internal mechanism is powered by two 12g cartridges and the whole construction gives off a sturdy impression. Find out more in our video review:
