Umarex P2P Secure 68P is a pistol for rubber, pepper and marking projectiles powered by CO₂ cartridges, designed for self-defence, training and recreational shooting. A major advantage compared to previous and competing models is the improved quick activation system, removable magazine and larger .68cal calibre.

AMMUNITION AND MAGAZINE
The Secure 68P model, like all RAM pistols, is designed to shoot rubber, pepper or marking balls in .68 calibre and cannot be used with non-spherical projectiles of the Precision or Devastator series (there is a risk of jamming in the magazine and blocking the weapon). The metal magazine has a capacity of 6 shots and for convenient loading of the balls the follower spring can be pulled down and locked.
modernised quick activation system
The pistol is powered by one 12g CO₂ cartridge, which this time is not inserted into the grip but into the slot under the barrel. This is also where the new quick activation system called Response Ready Trigger (RRT) is engaged. To pierce the cartridge, you no longer need to push the valve from the bottom of the grip, you simply pull the trigger. The first pull of the trigger presses the internal valve against the neck of the cartridge, thus activating the cartridge and the pistol immediately fires.
For the correct functioning of the RRT system, the manufacturer has implemented another innovation in the form of STS technology (Set Torque Seal). For optimal tightening of the cartridge it is necessary to maintain the correct torque – therefore the special threaded cartridge cap starts to slip once the correct torque is reached. To tighten the cap you need a triangular bit – exactly this is located on the back of the magazine of the pistol so you do not have to look for any special tools.

Given the emphasis on the fastest possible readiness to fire, the pistol does not include any manual safety. The only safety is located in the trigger and allows a shot only when the weapon is held correctly. The trigger cannot be pulled without the magazine inserted.
Design and ergonomics
As is customary for these products, the external construction of the pistol is made of high-quality polymer, thanks to which, despite its larger dimensions, the pistol retains a relatively low weight of 800 grams. The internal mechanisms are of course metal, as is the smooth, blued barrel with a length of 125 mm.
The magazine release catch can be found on both sides, and on the solid, non-moving slide there are fixed fibre optic sights. Under the barrel there is a 4-slot Picatinny rail allowing the installation of a laser or flashlight. The entire grip is textured to ensure a secure hold.

Everything you need
The Secure 68P model is supplied with everything you need to start shooting. In addition to the pistol, the package includes 3 pcs 12g CO2 cartridges, 6 pcs rubber balls, 6 pcs pepper balls and 6 pcs marking balls. All this comes in a foam-lined case with a zip closure and carrying loop.
Maintenance
Since the weapon is powered by CO2 cartridges, the rubber seals can, due to the freezing carbon dioxide, gradually become brittle and crack. You can prevent this by occasionally applying silicone oil 1) in a spray, where you simply spray the internal mechanism, 2) applying a few drops of silicone oil to the neck of the inserted cartridge, 3) using an oil cartridge (the easiest way). At the same time, we do not recommend leaving an activated cartridge in the weapon longer than necessary. If you know you will not be shooting for some time, release the pressure by loosening the valve.
