Duke CS10 Law Enforcement Irritant Projectiles are .68 calibre irritant projectiles combining the kinetic impact effect with the action of a powdered irritant filling. They can be used in CO2 and air-powered guns of the corresponding .68 calibre.
10% CS content
The active component of the filling is 10% CS (2-chlorobenzalmalononitrile), known primarily for its intense irritant effect. Upon contact, it acts mainly on the eyes, respiratory tract and skin, causing significant irritation.
Upon impact, the projectile casing breaks and its powdered filling is released into the area around the point of impact.
Combined effect on impact
The weight alone of 3.2–3.4 g ensures the mechanical effect of the impacting projectile. Once it breaks, the action of the contained CS is added, so the resulting effect combines kinetic impact with a subsequent intense irritant effect.
