Every shooter wants to know the power of their gun. This is especially true for airgun shooters who like to experiment with tuning and want to fine-tune their air rifle to perfection. The Swedish company FX Airguns is well aware of this, as it offers top-class PCP air rifles with the option of tuning, caliber change, etc. However, classic devices for measuring muzzle velocity are relatively complicated and expensive instruments. That’s why FX Airguns is entering the market with a revolutionary wireless chronograph. It is small and fits in your pocket.
FX Pocket Chronograph is a wireless radar capable of measuring muzzle velocity and energy not only of powerful PCP air rifles, but also CO2 pistols, paintball and airsoft guns. It is also great for archers, as it can measure arrow speed. It simply measures any projectile flying at a speed below 1099 fps (335 m/s). It works in all weather conditions, day and night, and does not need any external power source, it runs only on three AAA batteries.
Practical use is simple: place the chronograph under the barrel and launch the FX Radar app on your phone. The app is available for Android and iOS. Connection is via Bluetooth. Then just select the type of gun and enter the ammunition weight and you can start measuring. The manufacturer has even prepared videos clearly showing the device setup.
