The company Takumitak with Chinese roots, now based in Ontario, California, has specialized for many years in the production of knives with a robust Full-Tang blade in all kinds of shapes and sizes. Their goal is to offer the widest possible range of knives to meet the requirements of every demanding customer.
This knife boasts a robust 3.92mm thick blade made of stainless steel 3cr13 with an etched surface finish that faithfully imitates damascus steel. The handle is wrapped in paracord 550. The advantage of this solution is a very comfortable and secure grip and at the same time the option to unwind the paracord from the handle and use it if needed. The package also includes a reliable 1680D nylon sheath, compatible with the MOLLE system.
Full-tang construction
The Full-tang designation means that the blade and the inner part of the handle are made from a single piece, which significantly increases the overall durability of the knife and prevents it from breaking.
Blade made of stainless steel 3cr13
Stainless steel designated 3cr13 is an ideal choice for knives for everyday use. Thanks to its lower hardness of HRC 54–56, it is easy to sharpen, and with its high chromium content you do not have to worry about corrosion. In short, it offers a balance between durability, easy maintenance, and purchase price.
Composition: 84.03% iron, 0.3% carbon, 13% chromium, 1% manganese, 0.6% nickel, 0.04% phosphorus, 0.03% sulfur, and 1% silicon
Paracord 550
Paracord is a lightweight nylon rope with a protective sheath, originally designed for parachute suspension lines. Paracord designated 550 (type III) with 7 inner strands is capable of holding up to 550 pounds (250 kilograms).
