It uses a Luminus SST-40 LED as its light source. You can choose from a total of five light modes (1600 lm, 500 lm, 150 lm, 30 lm and 1600 lm strobe). Using the lowest power setting, the runtime can go up to 80 hours.
The power is supplied by a Li-ion 21700 battery pack with USB-C connector included. If needed, you can also use the Li-ion 18650 battery pack, with which you need to use the included reducer. There are also a number of safety features such as protection against incorrect battery insertion, overheating and over-discharging the battery.
Made from aerospace-grade hardened aluminum, the Tubus can withstand drops from heights up to 1 m. The flashlight is waterproof and dustproof according to IP68 standard (tested at a depth of 2 m). The head is fitted with a striking rim with three tungsten tips. The flashlight can therefore be used to break glass or for self-defense in an emergency.
