Weapon lights

How to mount a flashlight on a long gun? Easily – just choose a flashlight with a body diameter of 25.4 mm (1") and select a suitable mount. It’s a good idea to get a remote switch, as you really don’t want to keep changing your grip on the weapon just to turn the light on. If you want a pistol light, the frame must have an accessory rail.

Military and police flashlights

You can distinguish them from a classic torch at first glance thanks to their unconventional shapes. Why isn’t a cylindrical flashlight ideal for soldiers? They need to read maps at night, or mount a light on a weapon or on a tactical vest so that the beam always points ahead of them. This can be done, for example, by the multifunctional flashlight Armytek Wizard V3, which also serves as a headlamp. An important but often overlooked feature is the ability to use colour filters or multiple colour lighting modes. For example: have you ever turned on white light in complete darkness? Then you know that you instantly lose your night vision. It takes every human eye about 15–25 minutes to adapt back to the dark. Red and green light is gentler on the eyes and is also less revealing. Seemingly minor details, but for a soldier they can be a matter of life and death. The extreme resistance to water, etc. hardly needs mentioning.
