The most important component of any riflescope is of course the optical system, and the manufacturer Vector Optics knows this very well. That is why the Continental x8 1-8x24 SFP Hunting MOA model offers a truly top-class system of LaREE and VePRO lenses with FMC coating, which transmits an impressive 93% of light. Thanks to this, the riflescope is suitable for use even in poor visibility conditions.
This model is equipped with an etched hunting reticle in the second focal plane (the reticle does not increase in size as magnification changes) with a total of 6 brightness levels, powered by a CR2032 battery (not included).
Elevation and windage adjustment is given in MOA values, where 1 click = 1/2" at 100 yards (1.27 cm at 91.44 m). Parallax correction is fixed at 100 yards (91.44 m). Rotation of the turrets is accompanied by a quiet click, which allows you to set the riflescope more easily without having to take your eyes off the target.
All components are protected by a durable body with IP67 rating made from aircraft-grade aluminium 6061 T6, allowing the riflescope to withstand recoil of up to 750G. The one-piece forged tube has the standard 30 mm diameter and, to prevent the lenses from fogging up due to sudden temperature changes, the riflescope is filled with nitrogen.
This model is able to withstand 750 g (unit of gravitational acceleration), which is equivalent to the recoil of firearms chambered in .223 and .308 calibre.
