The 30 mm monotube is made from 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminium and is filled with nitrogen to prevent the fogging of the lenses. This model also has the IPX6 waterproof rating.
The biggest selling point of this scope is definitely its optical system. The German LaREE and VePRO FMC lenses ensure a crystal clear picture and in combination with the 56 mm objective lens offer up to 90% light transmission. This makes it usable in low light conditions.
We have to also mention the turrets. The elevation turret has the Zero Stop feature and it will allow you to zero the turret to any range and also prevent you from getting below the selected value. This means you can return to your preferred default position without any problems. The locking turret on the right side of the tube serves as a windage adjustment.
Each click is clearly audible and recognizable. The adjustment graduation is in milliradians and each click has a value of 1/10 MRAD (1 cm at 100 m). The left turret will allow you to adjust the parallax from 15 yds (13,7 m) to infinity and also to choose one of 6 brightness settings. The illumination is powered by a single CR2032 battery (not included) and all you need to do is to insert it into the left turret.
The VCT-20A is a tactical glass etched reticle and it can withstand recoils of up to 6000 J. The crosshair is in the second focal plane and this means that the magnification does not affect the size of the reticle. The design of this reticle along with the wide range of variable magnification makes it a perfect choice for long range shooting.
The package contains two-piece Picatinny mount rings, sunshade, spare elevation turret, lens caps and lens cloth.
This model is able to withstand 750 g (unit of gravitational acceleration), which is equivalent to the recoil of .223 and .308 caliber firearms.
