The solid steel ball guarantees maximum stopping effect and, compared to lighter rubber or plastic cartridges, maintains a much higher velocity during flight and on impact against coarse clothing, and therefore also higher impact energy. The total weight of one cartridge is 4.63 grams.
The plastic casing protects the barrel from wear and at the same time increases stability in flight, contributing to better accuracy.
Due to its overall shape, this ammunition is suitable only for RAM revolvers in .50 calibre with a rotary magazine. When used in other weapons with a push-feed magazine, jamming will occur.
