This time Snowpeak introduces a rubber projectile gun called CP300 Defender in .50 (12.7 mm) calibre.
This futuristic revolver can fire a round with energy of up to 11 J, depending on the type of ammunition used. It is designed to shoot all kinds of RAM ammunition, such as rubber, polymer, pepper, and paintball balls.
The rotary magazine with a capacity of 6 shots is also compatible with any non-standard shaped rounds that meet the chamber dimensions (12.7x18.5 mm). The magazine can be easily removed using the ambidextrous, textured release. Accidental discharge is prevented by a manual safety located in the metal trigger.
As with most rubber projectile guns, this revolver is powered by a single 12 g CO2 cartridge with compressed carbon dioxide. It is inserted into the grip narrow end first, and to activate it (pierce it) you need to manually screw in the threaded cap. After the cartridge is pierced, a red indicator pops out at the rear of the slide. To release any remaining gas, simply push it back in.
A fixed rear sight and a front sight with a fibre optic insert are used for aiming. For mounting a red dot sight, the revolver is equipped with a 22 mm Weaver / Picatinny rail. A second 22 mm rail is located under the barrel for mounting a flashlight or laser sight. The internal metal mechanism is covered by a polymer frame, which keeps the revolver lightweight.
CO2 CARTRIDGES - Compressed carbon dioxide gradually degrades the seals inside the gun, which in extreme cases can lead to overall leakage and gas loss. Therefore, do not leave activated cartridges in the gun longer than necessary. If you do not use up the whole cartridge and know that you will not use the gun for a longer period, release the gas as a precaution. Dispose of used cartridges; they cannot be refilled.
