The set of reinforced sanding belts Work Sharp Cloth is designed for sharpening knives. The effectiveness of the belts can be increased by using micro-abrasive paste. The belts in combination with the paste are able to properly prepare the edge for work and smooth its surface to a mirror finish.
The belts are made of non-fraying Norton cloth, which provides a more stable and cohesive base for the abrasive paste than the leather belts used previously. Unlike leather, cloth belts are easier to maintain and do not stretch over time. In intensive testing, Work Sharp concluded that Norton belts are more effective and that the entire sharpening process is significantly shorter; in addition, the consumption of abrasive paste is much lower. The sanding belts are intended for the sharpening tool Ken Onion Edition.
The sharpening set includes: two belts made of Norton cloth, a green chromium oxide-based paste for sharpening and smoothing, and a red iron oxide-based paste for final polishing to a mirror finish.
