Tasmaian Pattern Axe by the German manufacturer Helko Werk is a quality axe with a wide blade for splitting hardwood. This type of head is often used in competitions, for example in the Timbersport discipline.
The head is made of hand-forged C45 carbon steel with a hardness of 53 - 56 HRC. The blade is hand ground and also features the stamped Helko trademark crown. The head weighs 1800 g.
Also worth mentioning is the white walnut (hickory) handle with a total length of 80 cm. The wood used for the handle is carefully selected to ensure the best possible grain structure.
