The blade is made from 3Cr13MoV stainless steel, which is known for good corrosion resistance and easy sharpening. The manufacturer uses a drop point profile, giving the blade a universal character – the tip is controllable enough for more precise work, while the main part of the edge handles common everyday cutting tasks well.
The JKR683 model uses an assisted opening system. After an initial movement to open the blade, the user triggers a spring assist with a short motion, which smoothly guides the blade into the fully open position. This mechanism speeds up and makes one‑handed operation more convenient.
A linerlock mechanism ensures safe locking in the open position. A flexible inner liner moves under the tang of the blade when opened and prevents it from closing unintentionally.
The handle is made of stainless steel and designed with a textured surface that improves grip security.
