All three slots are clearly marked with text, so there is no risk of confusion. In addition to pull-through sharpeners for knives, there is also a pull-through scissor sharpener here.
When sharpening a knife, pull the blade towards you – from the heel to the tip. In the case of scissors, you need to change the direction, inserting the blades inwards. To keep the sharpener stable, the design is equipped with a handle. Thanks to this, you can hold the body of the sharpener with your weaker hand and sharpen with your stronger hand. Unwanted slipping of the bottom edge on the surface is prevented by rubber feet.
The sharpener can be used for all knives with a smooth steel blade, including meat cleavers.
