The Epic designers are now coming with something a bit more classic – the ONE Walnut series with an elegantly shaped walnut stock.
Introducing the EPIC ONE – the new icon of the world‑renowned company EPIC AIRGUNS based in the Czech Republic. The EPIC team has capitalised on all the experience gained from the production of the successful TWO model and transformed it into its compact bullpup successor. The high manufacturing quality is evident from every angle – for example, the main monoblock of the air rifle is machined from a single piece of metal on a 5‑axis CNC machine.
This bullpup boasts a new adjustable HIGH-POWER balanced valve which guarantees maximum power with minimal hammer spring tension, making it easier to cock the side lever. At the same time, it reduces air waste and thus increases the shot count per fill. The hammer preload can be adjusted externally using a screw located above the buttpad.
The air cylinder with a maximum working pressure of up to 300 bar (4350 PSI) can be filled using the supplied fill probe with a standard 1/8" diameter compatible with a standard quick coupler. The air rifle features 2 manometers – one to indicate the actual pressure in the cylinder and the other for the pressure in the externally adjustable regulator, which can be set with the included key within a range of 50 to 190 bar (always follow the instructions in the manual).
To achieve an even more consistent muzzle velocity, the regulator is complemented by a large power plenum (63cc for the version with 420mm barrel and 95cc for 550mm and 700mm barrels).
EPIC ONE air rifles are fitted with a non‑choked CZUB barrel (Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod) with 12 grooves and a 17.7” twist rate. The muzzle is equipped with a 1/2UNF thread for mounting a sound moderator. The carbon shroud serves to stiffen the barrel and at the same time allows barrel pre‑tension (harmonic tuning).
Air rifles with a 420mm and 550mm barrel length are additionally fitted with an integrated K‑Baffle type sound moderator, also ending in a 1/2UNF thread.
On the 700mm barrel version, after unscrewing the segment with the 1/2UNF thread and revealing the M27x1 thread, it is compatible with the EPIC AIRGUNS sound moderator or with the muzzle brake.
Thanks to the barrel kit, you can freely change the barrel length and the overall calibre of the air rifle. The set includes everything you need (barrel, carbon shroud with M27x1 thread, 1/2UNF moderator adapter, 1/2UNF thread protector, transfer port and probe).
To achieve the best results with heavy pellets and slugs, there is also a barrel kit available with a non‑choked polygonal Lothar Walther barrel (6 grooves, 17.7” twist).
The ONE series is equipped with a new pre‑tensioned magazine with a magnetically closing cover. To load it, simply rotate the inner part and insert the first round, which locks the rotating mechanism. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the magazine does not disturb the overall appearance of the air rifle and does not interfere with handling. In addition, it holds projectiles up to 14mm in length.
Thanks to smart bullpup engineering, the ONE model offers exceptionally compact dimensions while the air rifle is perfectly balanced. Proper cheek weld is ensured by a rubberised cheekpiece that can be moved freely along the 11mm dovetail running along the entire main block of the air rifle. The raised Picatinny rail with up to 30 MOA incline is also adjustable and makes it easier to zero the scope for shooting at extreme distances.
Instead of an adjustable aluminium buttpad, the Walnut series boasts a walnut wood stock manufactured by the renowned Czech company KLINSKY, which has perfected it down to the smallest detail. The selected wood has a unique grain pattern, making each air rifle a kind of one‑off. If you already own the standard EPIC ONE version, you can purchase the wooden stock separately here.
You can also purchase the Top Rail EPIC ONE – a tuning Picatinny rail with a row of M‑LOK slots on the sides, or an Arca‑Swiss mounting platform for versions with a 580cc and 300cc carbon bottle.
Two short Anschütz UIT rails on the sides of the barrel are available for mounting additional accessories.
Trigger mechanism has been fine‑tuned in every detail. Using several screws, you can adjust the trigger pull weight, the travel of the first and second stage, as well as the height and rotation of the trigger blade. The reliable lever safety is located just in front of the trigger, so you do not have to take your eyes off the target to disengage the rifle. The easily reversible side lever with an extremely smooth action is already standard on EPIC air rifles.
EPIC ONE Walnut is available in three configuration variants:
