The Czech company Presslug has specialized in the production of quality airgun ammunition for more than 5 years. Until now, we have mainly offered professional tools to craft Slug ammunition at home. However, Presslug has now expanded their production to finished, ready-to-use Slug ammo - available in all common calibers and in several weights - to cover the requirements of different shooting disciplines and to suit airguns of different performance categories.
At first sight, this airgun ammunition, called PS Slugs differs from conventional pellets by its overall shape, which offers a higher ballistic coefficient and lower loss of velocity during flight. The result is a flatter trajectory, longer range and higher impact energy. Due to the higher weight, Slugs are generally suitable for more powerful airguns.
WARNING: Slugs are only suitable for air rifles with barrels designed for this type of ammunition, the so-called "non-choked barrel". Choked barrels feature a slight taper at the muzzle, which, while beneficial for conventional pellets, can result in solid slug ammunition getting jammed.
