However, it is not a replica of the classic lever-action rifle, but one with shotgun-style loading. This lets you enjoy effective shooting with a replica of the rifle that, for example, former US President Theodore Roosevelt loved.
Pay close attention to the actual loading of BB steel shot. They are loaded via a magazine. If you are holding the rifle in your hands for the first time, you may spend a moment looking for the magazine. It will be easier if you follow our advice: unscrew the thread at the end of the barrel and pull the magazine out completely. Then pull the spring in the magazine down and insert a maximum of 50 rounds through the loading port.
Then just screw the magazine back into the barrel and cock the air in this repeating rifle. You do this similarly to a classic shotgun – pull the fore-end towards you until you hear a loud click. The air rifle is then ready to fire.
Overall, this is a well-made air rifle designed for children from 10 years of age. You do not need to worry about their safety. The manufacturer has of course included a safety catch against accidental discharge. The quality workmanship is most evident in the all-metal body and wooden stock and fore-end.
