Chronograph FX True Ballistic

The Swedish company FX Airguns does more than just manufacture top-quality air rifles. Their goal is to innovate everything related to shooting to the highest possible level.

This time, they are introducing the accurate, reliable and easily portable FX True Ballistic chronograph.

It requires no additional mounts, trigger mechanism, or external power supply. Everything needed is housed in its durable and lightweight construction.

And what makes this radar so exceptional? It can detect muzzle velocities ranging from 400 to 4000 fps / 122 – 1220 m/s, which is more than sufficient even for the most demanding shooters. What's more, you do not need to configure anything – Simply switch it on and point it towards the target. It takes care of the rest itself. Unlike other chronographs, it detects projectile velocity at several predefined distances from 0 to 300 yards (274.32 metres), allowing it to calculate the ballistic coefficient as well. The icing on the cake is its calculation of the projectile trajectory.

Please note that the chronograph may not be able to measure projectiles shorter than 6 mm.

The clear LCD display shows all essential information across three different screens. The first naturally shows the measured muzzle velocity – together with four additional readings taken at predefined distances. The second screen includes a second user profile, allowing you to see, for example, readings in fps and m/s side by side. The third screen displays all additional values recorded during the entire “shooting session”, such as the total number of shots, the highest, average and lowest measured projectile velocities, the difference between them, the ballistic coefficient, and more.

You can also set your preferred units:

• primary units: fps, m/s, J, ft/lbs
• weight: grams, grains
• distance: metres, yards

Some functions, such as measuring the ballistic coefficient or projectile trajectory, require a connection to the FX Radar mobile app – since current weather conditions, such as humidity and air temperature, must also be known. This also allows the chronograph to tell you how to adjust your rifle scope in clicks to hit the target precisely.

A well-made padded case with the FX logo is provided for carrying the radar, and if you prefer mounting the chronograph on a tripod, you will certainly appreciate the 1/4-20 UNC internal thread.
