The head has an ideal splitting wedge profile and its rear part can be used as a hammer. On the lower part of the blade there is a hook for turning logs.
The head is made of hand-forged C45 carbon steel with a hardness of 53 - 56 HRC. The blade is hand ground and features the embossed Helko trademark crown. The head weighs 2800 g.
Also worth mentioning is the white walnut (hickory) handle with an overall length of 80 cm. The wood used for the handle is carefully selected to ensure the best possible grain structure.
As a bonus, this model comes with a practical cowhide leather sheath. The total weight is 3600 g.
