Sig Sauer MCX has become famous worldwide as a reliable firearm and later as an air rifle for lead pellets powered by compressed carbon dioxide. Now the second generation is here with a number of changes and improvements.
This semi-automatic air rifle with a rifled barrel shoots lead pellets inserted into a belt magazine with a capacity of 30 rounds. The internal mechanism is powered by a single 88 g CO2 cartridge, which is screwed into the rear of the gun after removing the stock. Alternatively, you can use an adapter for two 12 g cartridges, or an HPA conversion kit.
The second generation is equipped with a new handguard with a total of 15 M-LOK slots on the sides and underneath. The stock has also been modified, the AR-15 grip with a reduced angle, and the trigger is now fitted with a flat blade. The other components remain unchanged. For aiming, there are side-adjustable flip-up sights, or you can install a red dot sight or scope on the sufficiently long Picatinny rail. The AR-15 type safety is ambidextrous, and the magazine release button is on the right side.
As for materials, only the handguard, stock, grip, and magazine are made of high-quality polymer. Everything else, such as the receiver housing, charging handle, suppressor, and all other components, is metal.
Attention: insert only pellets with a round head into the magazine. Any other shape may cause jamming.
Since the gun is powered by CO2 cartridges, the rubber seals may become brittle and crack over time due to the cold carbon dioxide. You can prevent this by occasionally applying silicone oil 1) spray, by simply spraying the internal mechanism, 2) by applying a few drops of silicone oil to the neck of the inserted cartridge. We also do not recommend leaving an activated cartridge in the gun longer than necessary. If you know you will not be shooting for some time, release the pressure. Cartridges cannot be refilled.
