Reximex Daystar immediately makes a solid impression at first glance, mainly thanks to its nicely crafted stock made of dark wood. A major advantage of the stock is the option of adjusting the cheek piece height and the presence of sling swivel studs (on the fore-end and at the rear of the stock) for a bipod or sling. In the grip areas, the stock is covered with a coarse texture, which provides a stable support for the hands, which is very practical when shooting for longer periods. At the very end of the stock there is a rubber butt pad.
A straight-pull side lever is used for cocking. When the lever is pulled back, the magazine is rotated, and when pushed forward, the pellet is inserted into the chamber. The internal mechanism is powered by a 260 ccm air cylinder with a working pressure of 250 Bar. A supplied quick coupler is used to fill the cylinder.
The blued barrel is fitted with a compensator which is screwed onto a 1/2 UNF thread, so it can be easily replaced with a sound moderator with the same thread. As this model is not equipped with open sights, it is necessary to purchase a suitable optic, for which a combined 11 mm / 22 mm mounting rail is provided.
The muzzle energy of this model is adjustable from 10 J to 55 J.
