Hikmicro HIKCam A7E is a compact firearm camera designed for hunting, sport shooting and subsequent shot analysis. It can be used when shooting at clay and paper targets, flying targets, as well as when hunting small and large game, including driven hunts. The camera records video in up to 4K at 60 fps and, thanks to pre-recording modes, can also save events occurring before the shot itself.

Shot recording and shooting modes
Modes are available for clay targets, flying targets, hunting and paper targets. The camera can automatically wake up when the firearm is raised or by tapping, and depending on the selected mode, uses motion or recoil activation for automatic recording. The built-in microphone also records sound.
- 4K: 60 fps
- 2.7K: 90 fps
- 1080p: 120 fps
- 720p: 120 fps
- MP4 video format and H.265 / H.264 codecs

Image and aiming
The camera uses a 7 mm F2.0 lens. The digital zoom ranges from 2× to 8× depending on the mode. Automatic image optimisation adjusts the display for sunlight, shade and backlighting.
An optional reticle with different shapes and colours can be activated for recording. The Quick Zero function is used for its quick adjustment.
Construction and firearm mounting
The HIKCam A7E is compatible with shotguns, rifles and firearms with suppressors. Recoil resistance is up to 375 g / 1.7 ms. IP67 protection is complemented by an operating temperature range from −20 to +40 °C.

Memory, connectivity and power supply
The built-in 64 GB memory allows video to be stored without the need to purchase an additional SD card. The camera supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi in hotspot mode, 2.4 GHz Bluetooth and USB-C connection. Recordings can be downloaded via Wi-Fi at speeds of up to 6 MB/s.
The HIKMICRO Sight app for iOS and Android offers live preview, video playback and downloads, remote control, the Quick Zero function and firmware updates.
The built-in 18650 battery with a capacity of 3400 mAh and voltage of 3.635 V provides a runtime of up to approximately 15 hours. When shooting, the stated capacity is approximately 400 clay-target shots or 200 hunting shots.
