The Swiss company Victorinox is famous all over the world mostly for their high-quality multitool folding knives. This time, however, they have stepped into the world of bushcraft and developed a series of reliable and durable knives Victorinox Venture.
This model features a fixed drop-point blade made of high-grade 14C28N stainless steel reaching a hardness of 59 HRC. The full-tang design in conjunction with the 3.4mm thick blade ensures maximum resilience during even the most demanding tasks. When starting a fire with a magnesium ferro rod, you will appreciate the square spine with multiple grooves in the front and you can even use the supplied sheath as a blow-tube.
The handle itself has been engineered down to the last detail as well. It is made of thermoplastic polyurethane, which is characterized by high mechanical and chemical resistance, is not affected by weather conditions and in terms of flexibility it lies somewhere between plastic and rubber. The surface is covered with a fine anti-slip pattern composed of Victorinox letters and logo, which guarantees a perfect grip even in a sweaty or greasy palm. There is also a lanyard hole at the end of the handle which also serves as an adapter for screwdriver bits.
Depending on how you use the supplied strap, you can attach the knife sheath to your belt or backpack or just secure the knife against falling out.
