Vegetable Risotto with Tofu Adventure Menu

This is a product line of sterilised Ready to eat meals made from 100% natural ingredients. They come from the Czech producer Adventure Menu. It is a hand-cooked meal preserved without chemicals. Even so, the stored sterilised food has a shelf life of up to 3 years. You don’t need any water for their preparation. Just heat them in a pot or in a self-heating system (here you need at least a few decilitres of water) and you have food for your trip just like at home (and often even better). It is ideal for shorter trips where you don’t count every gram, or for places with a shortage of drinking water.

Vegetable risotto with tofu is a very filling meal that will replenish your energy and warm you up on the go. This perfectly fitting vegetarian meal consists of new parboiled rice, natural nigari tofu cut into cubes, and selected vegetables. There’s nothing like having a proper main course on a mountain ridge or on a multi-day trip in nature, especially without the hassle of making a fire and cooking. Adventure Menu has achieved the almost impossible and has moved české MRE (meal ready to eat) one step closer to gastronomic heaven.

The vegetable risotto contains 54% vegetables (green beans, baby carrots, peas, corn, tomatoes, peppers, onions), 25% parboiled rice, 20% tofu (soy, Nigari sea salt), rapeseed oil, salt, Provence herbs, caraway, pepper and chilli. In total you will find inside 2.8% fat, 0.3% saturated fat, 4.8% protein, 13.3% carbohydrates, 2.3% sugar and 0.7% salt. Altogether it provides 392 kcal (1,648 kJ).

The pack measures 19 x 15 x 5 cm and weighs only 408 g. Inside you will find 400 g of food. The contents of the pouch make one full portion.
