The key innovation of the EPIC range is the reticle placed in the first focal plane, which means that its size changes depending on the magnification. This model uses an etched MOA-F25 reticle with 6 levels of green illumination, which, in combination with the high variable magnification 5-25x, is suitable for shooting at medium and long distances.
The lenses are made of ED glass (Extra Low Dispersion) and additionally coated with an anti-reflective layer, which results in an unbeatably clear and sharp image without chromatic aberration. The riflescope is also nitrogen-purged, which prevents the internal optical system from fogging up during sudden temperature changes.
Exposed turrets are used for reticle adjustment; they are resettable (Zero Stop) and lockable (Premium Locking System – to turn them, you must first pull them up). The click value is 1/4 MOA. The turrets are sufficiently large and clearly separate individual clicks, so you can easily operate them even with gloves. The clicking itself is very distinct – you can not only feel each click with your fingers but also hear it clearly. Parallax is adjustable from 20 yards to infinity using the turret on the left side of the riflescope, which directly suggests the option of adding a parallax wheel.The riflescope eyepiece offers dioptre adjustment -2.5/+2.5.
Riflescopes of the EPIC series have undergone demanding tests to ensure they perform even in the toughest conditions. The reinforced 34mm tube is made from a single piece of black anodised aircraft-grade aluminium alloy and is capable of withstanding even high recoil corresponding to calibre .375 H&H, i.e. over 6000 J.
