Why use only throwing knives

You will certainly hear the opinion that you can throw with any knife. Yes, that is true, but we still recommend reaching for a dedicated throwing knife. It has a lower hardness and is therefore more flexible. It won’t break when you throw it at the target with full force. A classic knife with higher hardness is made so that the edge holds. When it sticks into the target, the tip can snap off or the knife can simply crack.

How to throw a knife correctly

Aim your upper arm at the target. The hand holding the knife is close to your ear. Your upper arm and forearm form an acute angle. You should now be holding the knife in line with your head. At the moment when the longitudinal axis of your outstretched arm is pointing at the target, perform the throw with a sharp movement of the whole arm.

The most important thing is to control the movement of your arm and especially your wrist. You must swing forward so that you straighten it. If your wrist is not firm, you can give the knife an unwanted rotation.
