The second generation of the ThermTec Ares 650 2.0 thermal imaging scope is one of the few to offer variable optical magnification, plus it uses artificial intelligence to measure distance and can even recognize the type of object, which will be especially appreciated by hunters and hunters with high demands.
The Ares riflescope features a 50mm lens, 50Hz AMOLED high-resolution 1024x768px display, and smooth digital zoom (1-4x), ±5 dioptric correction and 12µm high quality 640x512px resolution core with NETD <18mk (the lower the value, the more sensitive), making it suitable for poor weather conditions such as rain, fog, or snow.

As one of the few riflescopes with thermal imaging, it offers optical magnification of 2.8x, which makes it easy to observe surrounding events while triple zooming in on a specific target.
Another advantage of the Ares series is the use of artificial intelligence - it can automatically calculate the distance of the target and, most importantly, it can also recognize what kind of object it is - for example, whether it is a human or an animal.
Termovize offers 6 color palettes and 7 intentional crosses with the ability to shoot up to 5 different weapons, so there really is something for everyone. Of course, there is also a picture-in-picture feature that lets you zoom in on your target while maintaining the surrounding field of view.
The Ares is adapted for use with a mobile phone using the SmartThermal app, using both Wi-Fi and Hotspot. With the app, you can also receive alerts when an animal or person moves in your field of view, even with its distance. The recording can also be stored on the 64GB integrated memory module.

Power is provided by two batteries, a built-in and a replaceable 18650/18500, with which the sight can run continuously for up to 18 hours. A USB-C port is used to charge the device.
The IP67 rated body can withstand recoil up to 850G, is compatible with 30mm tube mounting, and allows operation in temperatures from -20 to 50°C.

The version marked with the letter L is also equipped with a laser rangefinder.
