The second generation of the thermal riflescope ThermTec Ares 360 2.0 is one of the few models to offer variable optical magnification. It also uses artificial intelligence for rangefinding and can even recognise the type of target, which will be especially appreciated by hunters with high demands.
The Ares scope is equipped with a 20/60mm lens, a 50Hz AMOLED display with a high resolution of 1024x768px and smooth digital (1–5x) and optical (3x) zoom, dioptre correction of ±5 a high‑quality 12µm sensor with a resolution of 384x288px and thermal sensitivity of NETD <20mk (the lower the value, the more sensitive), making it suitable even for adverse weather conditions such as rain, fog, or snow.

As one of the few thermal riflescopes, it offers variable optical magnification 1.8x–5.5x, which makes it easy to monitor the surroundings and at the same time triple the magnification of a specific target.
Another advantage of the Ares series is the use of artificial intelligence – it can automatically calculate the target distance and, most importantly, it can recognise what type of object it is – for example whether it is a human or an animal.
The thermal imaging interface offers 6 colour palettes and 7 reticles with the option to zero for up to 5 different weapons, so everyone can find their preferred setup. The picture‑in‑picture function is also included as standard, allowing you to zoom in on the target while maintaining the surrounding field of view.
The software is adapted for use with a mobile phone via the SmartThermal app, using either Wi‑Fi or Hotspot. Thanks to the dedicated app, you can also receive alerts when an animal or a person moves into the field of view, including information about the distance. The recorded footage can be stored on the integrated 64GB memory module.

Power is supplied by two batteries, one built‑in and one replaceable 18650/18500, allowing the scope to operate continuously for up to 18 hours. The device is charged via a USB‑C port.
The robust housing with an IP67 rating withstands recoil up to 850G, is compatible with 30mm tube mounts and allows operation at temperatures from -20 to 50°C.
