New videos and reviews every day 6000+ reviews from our customers The STELLAR SQ50 thermal scope from Hikmicro features a 1024x768px OLED display and a 12µm 640x512px resolution core with 8x digital zoom and a thermal sensitivity NETD <35mK (the lower the value, the more sensitive), which makes the scope suitable even for poor weather conditions such as rain, fog or snow.
The main advantage of this thermal scope is the recoil-activated recording function, with which the recording starts 7 seconds before the shot is fired and ends 7 seconds after the shot is fired. This results in a 14 second video with sound.
The scope can operate continuously for up to astonishing 13 hours. The device is powered by two built-in Lithium rechargeable batteries and one replaceable CR123A battery, and can be connected to an external power source via USB-C interface.
It also offers 4 color palettes - White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot and Fusion and 5 groups of cross-hairs (zeroing of up to 5 guns) with 4 colors and a total of 10 types. The Hot Spot Tracking function - highlighting the hottest spot in the picture - is also included.
Real-time footage can be streamed directly to the Hikmicro Sight app, where you can browse all saved videos and images, or it can be saved to the built-in 64 GB storage.
The body of the device is made of magnalium - a solid aluminum-magnesium alloy and is IP67-rated for water resistance.
