As is typical for products from Hikmicro, this binocular from the RAPTOR RH50L series offers only the most advanced and highest-quality hardware and software. Its greatest advantage is the combination of thermal imaging, a laser rangefinder, standard colour daytime and night vision with infrared illumination.
The thermal imaging module with a 50mm lens, a 20µm 384x288px core with a sensitivity of NETD <20mK (the lower the value, the more sensitive), 16x digital and 5.7x optical zoom allows use even in adverse weather conditions such as rain, fog, or snow and can detect a 1.7m tall object at an impressive distance of up to 2600m.
The optical module with a resolution of 2560x1440px provides both standard colour daytime mode and night vision with infrared illumination with a wavelength of 850nm. A clear image even in fog is ensured by the Defog function, which automatically adjusts image quality in low-visibility conditions.
With the laser 905nm rangefinder you can measure the distance to the target up to 1000m with high accuracy of ±1m.
The binocular is equipped with a 0.39“ OLED display with a high resolution of 1024x768px, two eyepieces adjustable in the range from 60 to 70mm with dioptre correction from -5D to +3D and a thread for mounting on a tripod with a 1/4“-20-UNC thread. The device has a water resistance rating of IP67.
In total, the device has 6 different image modes: White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Fusion, Optical and also the Image Fusion mode, which combines the thermal and optical image to achieve high-quality thermal footage complemented by details that thermal imaging alone cannot capture.
The Picture-in-picture function is a matter of course, allowing you to zoom in on the target while maintaining the overall field of view of the surroundings. Also worth mentioning are the GPS and DMC (Digital Magnetic Compass) functions, thanks to which you always know where the footage was taken. All photos and recordings stored on the built-in 64GB storage can be browsed in the local album, or you can view them in the mobile Hikmicro Sight app, to which the footage can be streamed in real time.
Power is provided by 3 replaceable 18650 batteries, which allow the binocular to operate continuously for up to 8 hours. Energy saving is further ensured by the Smart IR function, which automatically adjusts the illuminator output according to the ambient environment, and by the automatic display shutdown when the device is moved away from the eyes.
