Veteran. Think of it as a completely new rifle, which builds upon the success of
its predecessor and takes it even further. The rifle received a number of major

If you have ever shot or handled the Taipan Veteran, you know how well-made and accurate it is. The gun received an overwhelming reception and was highly praised for its accuracy and excellent trigger. As the time moves on, so does technology and trends in the airgun world and this applies to Taipan as well. And now the time has finally come to present to you its latest iteration – the Veteran II.
It is so much more than just an upgraded version of the first-gen Veteran. Think of it as a completely new rifle, which builds upon the success of its predecessor and takes it even further.
Veteran II received a number of major improvements and chief among them is the completely reworked cocking mechanism, which was moved forward to be placed just above the trigger – in the perfect reach of your trigger finger. The side lever also has an exceptionally smooth action and you can now easily switch it to the other side of the rifle.
The free floating barrel is another prominent new feature. Unlike the original Taipan, the barrel is now completely free of any bands. This means that the barrel will always hold your zero and won’t be susceptible to weather conditions or the movement of the other parts of the rifle.
The barrel is also fully shrouded and its twist rate was especially designed for slugs. In addition, both variants of the Veteran II come with an external sound moderator.
The pressure regulator has also been tweaked for increased performance. The airtube has a diameter of 40mm and it can hold up 311 cc of air and its maximum working pressure is 300 bar.
The 20 MOA Picatinny rail on the top of the barrel is in the same axis with the barrel and offers an unparalleled accuracy.
The only thing that remained the same is the trigger mechanism. You can’t improve on perfection as they say and the trigger on the Veteran II is as crisp as ever. Manual safety is still placed in front of the trigger as well.
On request we can swap the charging lever from the right to the left side of the air rifle.
This modified version of the Taipan Veteran II air rifle is newly equipped with the popular ADF (Anti Double Feed) system, which prevents loading a pellet into the barrel if there is already one inside.
Additional changes apply to the side lever handle, which now offers a tactical look with a grooved surface. However, if you prefer the original one, you'll find it in the package as well.

The quality of workmanship is excellent and I think it will have a significant
effect on the longevity of the individual components. From my point of view, the
overall design is also good, everything is nicely integrated, smooth and the gun
is easy to hold. Maintenance is easy, everything essential is easily accessible.
If the customer knows what he is buying he has basically nothing to complain
about. I've had the gun for over a year, have several barrels for it and have
fired around 25k rounds from it, mostly slugs and I can say I'm still happy.
I think it's a shame that the manufacturer didn't decide to continue on this
model with such potential, the room is certainly there.
Not just to praise, the weight reduction, the somewhat cumbersome trigger
sensitivity adjustment, the lack of adjustability of the regulator (now only
percussion spring adjustment), the zero possibility to buy anything extra to the
gun and a small slap would send a small slap to the gentlemen from the
development for the incomprehensible omission of the cheekpiece.
