The pistol is powered by a spring, which must be compressed by breaking the barrel. A single lead pellet is inserted into it and after returning the barrel to its original position, the pistol is ready to shoot. The barrel is rifled, so it easily handles some target shooting at a distance of 10–15 metres. For aiming, there are adjustable sights for both elevation and windage, and you can also mount a red dot sight on the standard 11mm dovetail.
All important parts of the pistol are of course made of metal and the protective frame is polymer. A more secure grip is ensured by the textured grip made of hard rubber. An accidental shot is prevented by a manual safety located directly in the trigger.
Our opinion: The SP500 pistol is very compact and fits perfectly in the hand. From the first grip it gives a quality impression, nothing wobbles (not even the cocking lever for compressing the spring) and the plastics do not creak. In its price category, it simply has no rival. In addition, you do not need to buy any extra accessories – all you need is the pistol and lead pellets.
