New videos and reviews every day 6000+ reviews from our customers Air rifles with side-cocking mechanism are pretty uncommon nowadays. But that doesn't stop the Chinese company Snowpeak from coming up with an upgrade of the proven model called SL900.
In addition to the side cocking lever, this spring-powered rifle boasts a rotary magazine that we are used to from PCP airguns, an integrated sound moderator and even a spring-loaded buttstock that effectively reduces recoil when fired.
Compared to conventional break barrel rifles, this airgun has a huge advantage - the fixed barrel, which retains its accuracy indefinitely thanks to the absence of moving parts. The barrel includes an integrated sound moderator and everything is protected by a layer of polymer.
The cocking lever features a series of locks that prevent it from retracting back to its original position until fully cocked. That way, you don't have to worry about your fingers being crushed by mistake. When cocking, the pellet probe retracts simultaneously, allowing you to insert either one of the two supplied magazines or a single-shot tray.
Another interesting feature is the spring-loaded buttstock. When fired, it allows the entire airgun to move backwards without your shoulder absorbing all of the recoil at once.
You can mount a riflescope to the standard 22mm Weaver / Picatinny rail, the trigger can be adjusted in weight and the manual safety is located right in front of the trigger.
