Practical protective case for water filters from the American manufacturer Sawyer, which protects them from frost, mechanical damage, and also prevents drops from running down the walls of the filter. This neoprene cover in black is compatible with filters Sawyer SP124, SP128, SP129, SP131 and SP181.
This model can protect your filter from freezing, but you should definitely follow a few rules if the outside temperatures drop below freezing:
– When sleeping outdoors in freezing conditions, place the Sawyer filter inside your sleeping bag with you.
– After use, carry the filter in a chest pocket close to your body.
– If you use the filter with a hydration bladder, draw water from the bladder more frequently so that the water keeps circulating and does not freeze.
– If you suspect that the filter has frozen, stop using it. Once the membrane is damaged, the filter is no longer safe.
