The most important component of any riflescope is of course the optical system, and the manufacturer Vector Optics knows this very well. That is why the Continental x8 3-24x56 SFP Tactical VCT-20A MRAD model offers a truly top-class LaREE and VePRO lens system with FMC coating, which transmits an impressive 93% of light. This makes the scope suitable even for use in low-light conditions.
This model is equipped with an etched VCT-20A reticle in the second focal plane (the reticle does not increase in size depending on the magnification) with a total of 6 brightness levels, powered by a CR2032 battery (not included).
Elevation and windage adjustment is given in milliradians MRAD (also stated as MIL), where 1 click = 0.1 MRAD. The elevation turret is equipped with a Zero Stop function, which allows you to zero the scope at any value after sighting in the rifle, below which it will not go. Parallax adjustment is adjustable from 20 yards to infinity. Rotation of the adjustment turrets is accompanied by quiet clicks, allowing you to adjust the scope more easily without taking your eyes off the target.
All components are protected by a rugged body with IP67 rating made from aircraft-grade aluminium 6061 T6, enabling the scope to withstand recoil of up to 750G. The one-piece forged tube has a diameter of 30mm, and to prevent the lenses from fogging up due to sudden temperature changes, the scope is filled with nitrogen.
This model is capable of withstanding 750 g (unit of gravitational acceleration), which is equivalent to the recoil of firearms in .223 and .308 calibres.
