New videos and reviews every day 6000+ reviews from our customers Chiappa LTL Delta 1.50 is a self-defence RAM pistol designed with the smallest possible dimensions and ease of operation as the top priorities. Unlike other RAM pistols, it does not have a conventional grip or a shape derived from a live firearm. With dimensions of only 169x84x25 mm, it easily fits into a pocket, handbag, backpack or vehicle compartment, and its weight of 400 g means it can always be kept close at hand.
The trade-off for its minimal dimensions is a very short grip - the pistol body is held using only a few fingers, so it is not a conventional full-size pistol grip. Textured surfaces are located on the sides, while the entire outer housing is made of durable polymer.
Power is provided by one 8g CO₂ cartridge, inserted into the rear section of the pistol. The cartridge can be left inserted in the pistol without being pierced, so the seal is not exposed to constant pressure during long-term storage.
When needed, simply remove the retaining pin safety and strike the rear activator with your palm. The valve pin immediately pierces the cartridge and the pistol is ready to fire. With the retaining pin safety inserted, the cartridge cannot be activated accidentally.
The status of the pistol is indicated by the pressure indicator at the rear - it protrudes backwards when the pistol is pressurised. This pin also serves to safely release residual CO₂ before removing the cartridge.
Located beneath the barrel is an integrated magazine well with a capacity of 4 balls. By twisting it, the front cap with spring is released; ammunition is inserted into the well and the cap is secured again. The spring then progressively pushes the balls into the chamber.
The Delta 1.50 operates in semi-automatic mode, so no additional action is required between shots – simply pull the trigger repeatedly.
The pistol is intended exclusively for .50 calibre round projectiles. Pepper balls are particularly suitable, as are rubber or marking balls. For self-defence use with rubber ammunition, we recommend heavier options, such as rubber balls with a steel core.
With a muzzle energy of around 7,5 J, the Delta is particularly suitable for self-defence use in combination with pepper balls, whose effect is not based solely on the kinetic energy of the projectile.
WARNING: Do not use non-round projectiles. The integrated magazine is designed for spherical ammunition, and non-round projectiles will jam in the feeding mechanism!
WARNING: To ensure proper magazine operation, we recommend applying silicone oil to the inner walls of the magazine well, or directly onto the rubber projectiles. Using dry ammunition in an unlubricated magazine may cause the pistol to jam.
The Delta has a 53mm barrel and simple fixed sights, which are directly integrated into the polymer body mouldings. They do not contain fibre-optic inserts or other highlighting elements.
There is a short profile beneath the barrel, which may resemble a mounting rail in appearance. However, it is not a standard 22mm Picatinny or 11mm Dovetail rail, and standard accessories for these mounting systems cannot be installed on it. We currently do not offer any compatible accessories for this profile.
We tested the pistol with Venox RB Steel balls with a steel core weighing 2,62 g. All 12 shots were fired using one 8g CO₂ cartridge, corresponding to three magazines.

Measured values may vary depending on the ammunition used, ambient temperature and the condition of the CO₂ cartridge.
As the pistol is powered by CO2 cartridges, the rubber seal may gradually become brittle and crack due to the freezing carbon dioxide. This can be prevented by occasionally applying silicone oil 1) in spray form, simply spraying the internal mechanism, 2) by applying a few drops of silicone oil to the neck of the inserted cartridge. At the same time, we do not recommend leaving an activated cartridge in the pistol longer than necessary. If you know that you will not be shooting for some time, release the pressure by loosening the valve.
