The metal detector Quest AIR can be summed up in two words – durable and efficient. It comes equipped with everything you need for thorough sweeping of the field, and its construction boasts a pleasant yet well-thought-out design.
The construction itself consists of a 3-piece telescopic shaft made of lightweight aluminium with an adjustable length from 80 to 130 cm, an adjustable armrest, a rotatable mobile phone holder and a DD 23x13 cm search coil. All parts form a solid unit that not only offers maximum comfort during use, but is also highly durable and waterproof down to a depth of 1 metre (IP68).
As for the user interface, you can easily set one of the two detection modes (All Metal, selectable discrimination), sensitivity, Threshold function, target identification using 5 tones, or discrimination. To display the interface, a smartphone with the Quest app installed is required. For better audibility of audio signals, you can use the option of connecting wireless headphones.
When scanning the ground, the detector uses a working frequency of 7.5 kHz. Each detected object is then shown using an ID identification number (from -90 to 90).
As a power source, the detector uses a Li-Pol battery, which is charged using a USB-C cable. One full charge allows up to 10 hours of operation.
