The Czech company Presslug has been specializing in the production of high-quality ammunition for airguns for more than 5 years. Until now, we have mainly offered their professional tools for home-made ammunition production. Presslug has now expanded its production to include ready-made Slugs – available in all common calibres and in several weight variants – to meet the requirements of different shooting disciplines and to suit airguns of various power categories.
Airgun ammunition called PS Slugs differs from classic pellets at first glance by its overall shape, which provides a higher ballistic coefficient and loses velocity more slowly. The result is a flatter trajectory, longer range and higher impact energy. Due to their higher weight, Slugs are generally suitable for more powerful airguns.
WARNING: Slugs are suitable only for airguns with a barrel designed for this type of ammunition, a so‑called “unchoked barrel”. A choked barrel tapers slightly at the muzzle, which is beneficial for classic pellets, but solid slugs can get stuck in it.
