Night vision scope DNT Optics Zulus HD 5-20x V2

DNT ZULUS HD V2 5–20× is a compact digital riflescope with day and night vision, designed for hunting, property protection, pest control and sport shooting. It combines a sensitive Full HD sensor, quality ED glass optics and modern electronic features in a lightweight and durable body.

During the day it provides a natural colour image, while after dark it can be switched to a black and white night mode. Thanks to this, it can be used virtually continuously without the need to change the optic according to current light conditions.

Features and properties

The core of the riflescope is a highly sensitive Sony STARVIS 2 sensor with a resolution of 1920×1080 px, which excels especially when working with ambient light and near infrared radiation. In combination with ED glass lenses, it delivers a clear and detailed image during the day, at dusk, and with the use of IR illuminator also in complete darkness. The resulting image is transmitted to a fine Micro-OLED display with a resolution of 1920×1080 px and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, which ensures smooth display of a moving target.

The magnification range of 5–20× allows quick switching between observing a wider area and precise aiming at a more distant target. Magnification is changed using a practical mechanical lever that can be comfortably operated even with gloves or in the dark.

For observation in complete darkness, the riflescope is supplied with a detachable IR illuminator with a wavelength of 850 nm. It provides powerful illumination of the target and a high level of detail. If less conspicuous operation is required, the illuminator can easily be replaced with an optional 940 nm variant.

The shooter has at their disposal 9 reticle types in 5 different colours, so the display can be adapted to the weapon used, the target and the surrounding conditions. Zeroing is simplified by the One-Shot Zero function, where you only need to fire one shot, keep the scope on the original aiming point and electronically move the reticle to the point of impact.

For precise aiming you will also appreciate the Picture-in-Picture mode, which displays a magnified section of the target without the shooter losing awareness of the surrounding area. This function is particularly useful when shooting at smaller or more distant targets.

The riflescope allows you to take photos and videos with sound. Recordings in 1800×1080 px resolution are saved to the built-in 32 GB memory, so there is no need to purchase a memory card. In addition to standard recording, there is also loop recording and the RAV – Recoil Activated Video function, which automatically captures the crucial moment associated with the shot.

Using integrated Wi-Fi, the scope can be connected to the DNT Optics mobile app. The wireless connection is used to communicate with the device, work with stored recordings and update the software. This allows the manufacturer to further adjust or expand available functions via updates.

The compact design weighs only 482 g, so the riflescope does not unnecessarily increase the weight of the firearm or disturb its balance. The controls are arranged so that they are easily accessible while shooting. The construction with IP67 protection rating is dustproof and resistant to temporary immersion in water. The scope is also rated for recoil up to the level of .50 BMG calibre.

Power is supplied by a replaceable Li-ion battery type 21700 (not included), providing up to 10 hours of operation. In the field, the scope can also be powered from an external source via a USB-C connector. The battery and compatible charger must be purchased separately.
