DNT ZULUS HD V2 5–20× LRF is a compact digital riflescope with day and night vision capability, an integrated laser rangefinder and a ballistic calculator. It is designed for hunting, property protection, pest control and sport shooting. It combines a sensitive Full HD sensor, high‑quality ED glass optics and modern electronic functions in a light and durable body.

During the day it delivers a natural colour image, while after dark it can be switched to a black and white night mode. Thanks to this, it can be used practically continuously without having to change the scope according to the current light conditions.

Functions and features

The core of the riflescope is a highly sensitive Sony STARVIS 2 sensor with a resolution of 1920×1080 px, which excels especially when working with residual light and near infrared radiation. In combination with ED glass lenses it provides a clear and detailed image during the day and at dusk, and with IR illuminator also in complete darkness. The resulting image is transmitted to a fine Micro-OLED display with a resolution of 1920×1080 px and a refresh rate of 60 Hz, which ensures smooth tracking of moving targets.

The magnification range of 5–20× allows quick switching between observing a wider area and precise aiming at more distant targets. The magnification is changed using a practical mechanical lever that can be comfortably operated even with gloves or in the dark.

For observation in complete darkness, the riflescope is supplied with a detachable IR illuminator with a wavelength of 850 nm. It provides strong illumination of the target and a high level of detail. If less conspicuous operation is required, the illuminator can easily be replaced with an optional 940 nm version.

The shooter has at their disposal 9 types of reticles in 5 different colours, so the display can be adapted to the weapon used, the target and surrounding conditions. Zeroing is simplified by the One-Shot Zero function, where you only need to fire a single shot, keep the crosshair on the original aiming point and electronically move the reticle to the point of impact.

The ZHD520RV2 model is equipped with an integrated laser rangefinder with a range of 5–1000 metres. The target distance can be measured directly through the riflescope without the need to use a separate rangefinder or change the shooting position. The measured value is displayed on the screen immediately.

The rangefinder is complemented by an integrated ballistic calculator, which calculates the required bullet drop compensation based on the measured distance and stored ammunition data. There is a Holdover mode that displays a separate correction point, and a Dial-In mode that allows you to shift the main aiming point according to the calculated correction. Ballistic data can be configured directly in the scope or via the DNT app.

For precise aiming you will also appreciate the Picture-in-Picture mode, which shows a magnified section of the target without the shooter losing awareness of the surrounding area. This feature is especially useful when shooting at small or distant targets.

The riflescope enables taking photos and videos with sound. Recordings with a resolution of 1800×1080 px are stored in the built‑in 32 GB memory, so there is no need to purchase a memory card. In addition to loop recording, it offers manual RAV and Auto RAV – Recoil Activated Video mode, which automatically starts recording when recoil is detected.

Using the integrated Wi‑Fi, the scope can be connected to the DNT Optics mobile app. The wireless connection is used to communicate with the device, transfer ballistic profiles, work with stored recordings and update the software. This allows the manufacturer to adjust or expand the available functions through updates.

The compact design weighs only 542 g, so even with the integrated rangefinder the riflescope does not unnecessarily increase the weapon’s weight or significantly disturb its balance. The controls are positioned for easy access while shooting. The construction with an IP67 protection rating is dustproof and withstands short‑term immersion in water. The scope is also rated for recoil up to .50 BMG calibre.

The power source is a replaceable Li‑ion battery type 21700 with flat positive pole (not included), which provides up to 10 hours of operation. In the field, the scope can also be powered from an external source via a USB‑C connector. The battery and compatible charger must be purchased separately.
