PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Pasta with tomato sauce, onion and minced meat has a subtle, mild flavour. It is satisfying without feeling heavy on the stomach. This emergency food ration provides a complete lunch with a snack. It also contains salty crackers, chocolate and an isotonic drink. Altogether it gives you 812 kcal of energy.
The food is nutritionally balanced and fully wholesome. The long‑life One Meal food has IFS and ISO 22 000 quality certificates. Since this is a Czech MRE, you won’t be surprised by the unusual taste typical of foreign dehydrated foods.
The complete MRE Menu is designed for one person as lunch and a snack. If you take out the pasta, crackers, chocolate and drink at once, it will be enough for two people as a lighter main meal. The crackers are not as salty as those from the shops and they don’t stick to your teeth. The isotonic drink has a refreshing taste and is not overly sweet.
The whole pack is extremely compact and lightweight. It weighs only 500 grams. It takes up very little space in a backpack and does not weigh you down. It even fits in the pocket of cargo trousers.
Meal Ready to Eat MRE is easy to prepare. The Czech instructions are supplemented with pictograms. Put the capsule and the pasta pack into the heating bag. Add water up to the line. Only a little is needed, 60 ml is just a bit more than a large shot. We collected water from a stream in the forest, so we did not have to use our supplies at all. Fold the bag and place it on the ground. After 12 minutes you can serve. The self‑heating capsule and zipper bag are included in the pack.
The MRE military food has also been tested by the Outdoor Survival team. Their verdict? It’s not common to find local cuisine in this type of ration. The food is nutritionally rich and tasty. The flameless heater keeps heating for up to 45 minutes. Overall, they were very satisfied.
