In terms of design and software, it is based on its predecessor, the Equinox 600 model. When operating, it uses the proven Multi-IQ technology developed by Minelab, with the new addition of the Deept deep mode, which you will find in the higher Manticore range.
The detector’s construction features a carbon shaft, which weighs only 1.3 kg and can be easily folded down to a length of 107 cm, which is very useful for storage or transport. Thanks to its IP68 waterproof rating, it can handle work in virtually any terrain.
When working with the detector, you will appreciate the clear and user-friendly control interface. The focal point of all operations is the backlit monochrome display, which shows all functions. It is operated with classic buttons, which you use to set the search mode (Park, Field, Beach), operating frequency (4, 5, 10, 15 kHz), detection sensitivity (1–25), or to switch on the All-Metal mode or precise PinPoint detection.
Searching for and identifying objects is made easier by the audio signalling, which lets you know immediately whether you have found a valuable target. You can listen to the signals either through the speaker or directly in headphones. The vibration alert is also very practical, and in bad weather the built-in LED flashlight comes in handy.
