The Mikov Raptor series of OTF knives is the successor to the iconic Mikov Mackie knife, which appeared on the market as early as the 1970s. This new generation retains the original look but uses modern materials and technologies.
blade
This model features an 81 mm Spear Point blade with a single plain edge made of stainless steel 440C (high hardness, wear and corrosion resistance) with a satin finish.
A simple sliding button is used to deploy and retract the blade.
titanium mechanism
The fundamental element of OTF (out-the-front) knives is clearly the automatic deployment mechanism (the internal system that extends and retracts the blade when the button is pressed / slid).
In this case, Mikov opted for extremely strong and lightweight titanium, which gives the knife exceptional durability and reliability. Thanks to this, the knife will always deploy smoothly both the first time and after thousands of uses, without risk of damage.
handle
The shape of the handle is inspired by the aforementioned predecessor named Mackie and has a sleek, clean look.
This version of the handle is made of duralumin (an alloy of aluminium, copper, magnesium, and manganese). The belt clip can be repositioned using two screws.
